Partnership Updates

NEPARC Plus has actively engaged with regional networks and partners to foster meaningful collaborations and avoid duplication of efforts. Our aim is not only to secure funding but also to establish positive relationships that maximise impact.

Key achievements include:
Identification of key regional networks for partnership opportunities
Framework agreements drafted with major regional bodies such as:

  • IGAD
  • AU
  • AFDB
  • ECOWAS

Ongoing discussions with these networks to finalise collaboration

Progress

Since our re-establishment in February 2024, we have laid a strong foundation for the future. We’ve revised our constitution, formed a new board, established an interim secretariat, and developed a strategic plan that is already in motion.

Strategic Tool Development

To promote operational transparency and best practices among member societies, we have developed an audit tool in collaboration with Strathmore University, Kenya. This tool is designed to ensure member societies meet high standards of governance, enabling private sector confidence and paving the way for sustainable partnerships. The framework is now being piloted among selected societies, with the goal of wider rollout soon.

Pilot Programmes For Self-Sufficiency

We are piloting strategic initiatives aimed at supporting Red Cross Societies in their journey toward self-sufficiency. This includes implementing the newly developed accreditation tool, enabling societies to operate as professional organisations ready to engage with private sector partners.
