Synergy for Change: NEPARC+, Where Collaboration Creates Impact
The New Partnership for African Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Plus (NEPARC+) is a collaborative effort launched in 2008 to amplify the impact of humanitarian action across Africa. We unite National Societies from across the continent and further, alongside the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), to steer National Societies away from total dependence of donor contributions:
- Resilience: Facilitating and guiding initiatives to enhance the self-sustainability of National Societies.
- Operational Excellence: Spearheading initiatives that exemplify principles of good governance and accountability.
- Collaboration: Sharing resources and best practices among National Societies, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

What we do
Across the vast and diverse landscapes of Africa and the Global South, NEPARC Plus stands as a beacon of hope and resilience. We are a voluntary collaboration of National Societies looking to drive forward principles and practices to enable our mandate of “Empowering Sustainability”:
- Collaborative Initiatives: Fostering partnerships and collaboration among stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions.
- Capacity Building: Empowering communities and organizations with the knowledge and resources to sustainably manage their operations.
- Innovation and Technology: Harnessing innovative approaches and technology to address sustainability challenges effectively.
- Advocacy: Championing policies and practices that promote environmental conservation and social equity for long-term sustainability.
- Inclusivity: Ensuring that sustainability efforts are inclusive and equitable, benefiting all members of society.
- Empowerment: Empowering individuals and communities to take ownership of sustainable development initiatives and drive positive change.
